Join us in spreading some Holiday Cheer to children in need in the Lehigh Valley, by supporting
the Holiday Hope Chest
For our 8th year of participating in this project, we will be filling 40 boxes for youth ages 4-12.
Our main request for this year is for monetary donations. Gift cards to Amazon, Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree and/or Five Below would also be appreciated. Monetary donations/gift cards should be placed into an envelope marked "HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS", and placed into the collection basket at any Mass. Checks should be made out to St. Joseph Church, with "HOLIDAY HOPE CHESTS PROJECT" written on the "for" line.
If you prefer to purchase an item or two, we have made a shopping list of specific items. Please follow the link to view the items and to sign up for as many items as you wish to provide. Please remember -- all items must be new, and they must fit inside of the shoe boxes. We want to get a variety of items into each box (as well as fill them up!).
We will be collecting items until November 24th. Donations can be left in the "toy room" in the back of church - look for the shoe boxes.
Love to wrap presents and have a lot of patience? Join our team of wrappers! This is a task specifically for adults, as the boxes must be wrapped in a specific way (they are NOT wrapped like traditional gifts - view this video for more info: https://youtu.be/Uug4iSzprCo).
Want to help fill & organize the boxes? We will be having a little "party" to fill & organize the boxes. More info to come!

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT ITEMS!
All items must be new, and they must fit inside of the shoe boxes. We want to get a variety of items into each box (as well as fill them up!). The Volunteer Center asks that each box be worth about $25.00. You can refer to the images below for an idea of what the contents of a box might look like.

Gift Cards (in any amount) are needed for the following retailers, where we can purchase items in bulk (or just as filler, for what is not purchased individually): Amazon, Target, Walmart, Five Below, The Dollar Tree
