A Year Dedicated to the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist - Bishop Alfred Schlert has announced that the Diocese of
Allentown will celebrate a “Year of the Real Presence” beginning on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11.
The Year of the Real Presence will be a special time in parishes and schools around the Diocese. It will celebrate the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, and will enable
parishioners to rejoice in the gift of being present with their brothers, sisters, and clergy at Mass. The celebration will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese. Click here to read more on AD Today.
All are Invited to Pray a Monthly Family Rosary via Zoom - Commission for Men of the Diocese of Allentown is sponsoring a Family Rosary via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month. “We would love to see more families join us,” said member Glenn Mummey. To join the Rosary, go to this link. Each month the commission sets an intention, or group of intentions, which are published as part of a rosary guide. Participants can download a PDF of the guide in advance, to see the intentions and prayers for that month’s rosary. The commission also recently launched a new website, www.menaliveinchrist.org, highlighting “Men Alive in Christ – A New Outreach for Catholic Men.” In addition to the rosary, the website will include information about the group’s conferences, mornings of reflection and other upcoming activities.
