VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children

Training Bulletins Requirement
New Policy and Implementation

As of April 1, 2018, all Diocese of Allentown Administrative Office employees, DRE’s/CRE’s (Directors of Religious Education/Coordinators of Religious Education), Youth Ministers and LSEC’s (Local Safe Environment Coordinators) are required to start and remain current with the monthly VIRTUS training bulletins online that are connected to Protecting God’s Children. DRE’s and CRE’s are required to distribute the bulletins to all PREP teachers, either monthly or quarterly, and document to whom and when the bulletins were distributed. Documentation for the distribution of the bulletins is required to be included with the Diocese of Allentown Parish/School Self-Assessment Guide that is distributed annually in May and due in June.

At St. Joseph Church, our LSEC emails the bulletins to all volunteers who come into contact with youth in the course of their work. The bulletins are sent out quarterly (July through June of following year). If you have missed a bulletin or cannot find the email, we have included an up-to-date list of the past 12 months here. Please contact the LSEC with any questions or concerns.
