"This is a moment to thank God anew for the great gift of the Mass and the Real Presence of Jesus to us in his Holy Body and Blood as well as the joy of gathering together as people of faith." -- Bishop Alfred A. Schlert
The Holy Eucharist is the anchor of parish and diocesan life and serves as a constant source of nourishment. It has seen us through many challenges, both from within and outside our Church. Every age of the Church faces challenges, and now is our time to confront and heal them through the grace of the Holy Eucharist. The power of the Most Blessed Sacrament is our armor against the “snares of the devil” who “prowls about the world seeking the ruin of souls.”
Is the Lord calling you to him?
During this Year of the Real Presence in our Diocese, more and more people have been returning to Mass. More and more people have been celebrating the great privilege of receiving the Holy Eucharist along with friends, family, and fellow parishioners. Today is the day we have looked forward to -- welcoming all Catholics back to Mass and celebrating as one faith community.
If you have not yet returned to Mass, our Priests, Deacons, and Religious look forward to welcoming you home to your parish. Click here for the latest on safety precautions, and here for some practical advice for returning to Mass. Also, consider inviting someone back to attend Mass with you this month or find some quiet time to enjoy some quiet time with our Lord in Adoration. Each Parish also has times available each week for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The Diocese of Allentown Parish communities and employees wish you joy, courage, and a deepening of your faith in the Real Presence of the Holy Eucharist . Welcome home!
